Ultrafiltration membrane technology is an important method for treating industrial wastewater. When using ultrafiltration membrane technology, the basic principle required is very simple, that is, membrane separation is carried out by pressure, so only a simple separation device can be prepared, and the cost of ultrafiltration membrane technology is relatively low.

In reality, according to the different industrial properties, industrial wastewater also has a variety of classifications, such as heavy metal containing wastewater, food wastewater, paper wastewater and so on. Ultrafiltration membrane technology can be used in the treatment of these industrial wastewater.

1. Application of ultrafiltration membrane technology in treating papermaking wastewater

Paper wastewater is more difficult to treat, and in all steps of papermaking are likely to produce wastewater, such as pulping, washing, bleaching, papermaking. Because of the different steps, the composition of paper is complex, which contains a large number of chemical components and toxic substances. Ultrafiltration Membrane Technology is an effective method to treat papermaking wastewater. In the treatment of papermaking wastewater, ultrafiltration membrane technology has a high rejection rate, can recover valuable chemical substances, at the same time, ultrafiltration membrane technology has a relatively large water flow, so that water can be reused to a large extent.

2. Application of ultrafiltration membrane technology in treating heavy metal wastewater

In the industrial development, heavy metals are a common substance. Machinery manufacturing factories will discharge a large number of wastewater containing heavy metals, which include nickel, mercury, zinc, cadmium and so on. The heavy metal pollution caused by this is very serious. Due to technical reasons, the traditional treatment of heavy metal wastewater is not complete, but only precipitation and coversion of heavy metals dissolved in wastewater into a form that can be easily treated. Now the Ultrafiltration Membrane Module can adjust pH and remove heavy metal ions by selecting ultrafiltration membrane with appropriate pore size. Caustic soda synthesis can be carried out first, and then use ultrafiltration membrane filtration. The heavy metals in the wastewater can be completely recovered and the wastewater can be recycled.

3. Application of ultrafiltration membrane technology in treating food industrial wastewater

Due to the different types of food, the nature of food industry wastewater discharge is also different. Such as sugar, meat, dairy processing food industry effluent is high organic content and has a lot of suspended solids. Ultrafiltration membrane technology can be used to treat food wastewater in a variety of ways, such as adjusting the aperture of the ultrafiltration membrane, recovering valuable materials, and the treated wastewater can continue to be recycled. Compared with traditional wastewater treatment methods, the biggest advantage of ultrafiltration membrane technology is that it can intercept valuable substances in wastewater and continue to use. At the same time, a large amount of water flow can realize the recycling of water resources.

Ultrafiltration membrane technology, as a useful method to improve industrial wastewater, is safe, stable, convenient and low-cost. Compared with the traditional technology, it can also recover the useful substances in the treated liquid and realize the recycling of water resources. What we need to do is to constantly improve and perfect the ultrafiltration membrane technology in practice, and further optimize the role of ultrafiltration membrane technology in the treatment of industrial wastewater.
