Industrial wastewater includes production wastewater, production sewage and cooling water. It refers to wastewater produced in the industrial production process, which contains industrial production materials, intermediate products, by-products and pollutants generated in the production process that are lost with water. There are many kinds of industrial wastewater and its composition is complex. So How should we deal with the industrial wastewater? Let check the below methods we have.

1. Membrane Separation Technology

Membrane separation technology is a new type of separation, purification and concentration technology. Compared with traditional separation technology, it has the characteristics of low consumption, high efficiency, simplicity, and low cost. It has formed a new sewage treatment method, including microfiltration (MF), ultrafiltration (UF), nanofiltration (NF) and reverse osmosis (RO) method. Membrane separation technology has the advantages of phase change-free componentization, simple process, convenient operation, small scale, low cost, low consumption, etc., and has been widely used. Hongtek provides a series of microfiltration products, such as melt blown cartridges, String Wound Cartridges and Pleated Filter Cartridges that are widely used in pre-filtraiton of industrial wastewater treatment.

2. MBR Process

MBR is a new type of high-efficiency sewage treatment process that combines high-efficiency membrane separation technology with traditional activated sludge method. It uses the MBR Membrane Module with a unique structure to be placed in the aeration tank, and the water after aerobic aeration and biological treatment is filtered by the pump through the filter membrane and then pumped out. The MBR process equipment is compact and occupies a small area; the effluent quality is stable and the organic matter removal efficiency is high; the remaining sludge output is small, which reduces the production cost. It can remove ammonia nitrogen and refractory organic matter and it's easy to modify from the traditional process.

3. Multi-effect Evaporation Crystallization Technology

In the treatment process of industrial saline wastewater, the industrial saline wastewater enters the low-temperature multi-effect concentration crystallization device, and it separated into desalinated water and concentrated crystal slurry waste after a concentration crystallization process of 3-6 effect evaporation and condensation. Inorganic salt and part of organic matter can be crystallized and separated, and incinerated into inorganic salt waste residue. Concentrated waste liquid of organic matter that can not be crystallized can be treated with a drum evaporator to form solid waste residue and incinerate. Desalinated water can be returned to the production system instead of softened water for use.

4. Ion Exchange Resin Processing Technology

Ion exchange resin is a new type of industrial sewage treatment technology, which uses the characteristics of ion exchange group polymer to treat heavy metals in industrial sewage, such as mercury, copper and other substances. Ion exchange resins are insoluble in acidic or alkaline solutions, and they belong to the polymer porous solid polymer. Using ion exchange resin technology, it is possible to filter and treat heavy metal-containing sewage with low concentration but large discharge in industrial sewage.

With the rapid development of industrial enterprises, the problem of industrial water pollution has gradually increased. The large-scale water pollution caused by industry has exacerbated the shortage of water resources, which directly poses a certain threat to human survival and life. Therefore, industrial enterprises must not only have efficient sewage treatment methods, but also need to pay attention to the recycling and utilization of sewage in order to protect the environment and improve the utilization rate of water resources.
