Perfume is formulated with plant fragrances, animal fragrances, and synthetic fragrances dissolved in alcohol, plus necessary retention agents, pigments and water. The manufacturing process of perfume is in order of extracting essential oil - pretreatment - mixing - aging - cooling - filtering - color mixing & production inspection - bottling.

1. Extract Essential Oil

The main methods of extracting essential oils are oil suction, distillation, pressing, volatile solvents refining technology and vacuum refining technology. The main purpose is to extract essential oils from vegetable, animal and synthetic fragrances for use in the manufacture of perfumes.

2. Pretreatment

The pretreatment process of perfume production is mainly to treat alcohol, fragrance and water to improve the appearance of perfume clarify and smell mellow. The alcohol needs to be purified and passivated, the flavor needs to be added to a small amount of pretreated alcohol and aged for 1 month, and the water needs to be distilled to sterilize and remove metal ions.

3. Mixing

Put alcohol, flavor and water in a certain proportion into a stainless steel container, stirring and mixing for a period of time, the purpose is to let the impurities in the flavor fully precipitated, so that the clarify of the finished product and the ability to resist turbidity in cold conditions are improved.

4. Aging

Put the mixed perfume into a closed container with a safety valve for aging. The aging of perfume is generally divided into 2 kinds of physical methods (e.g. mechanical stirring, ultrasonic treatment, ultraviolet light irradiation, etc.) and chemical methods (oxygen bubble oxidation, silver chloride catalysis, hydrogen reduction, etc.) Its purpose is mainly to mellow the scent of the perfume.

5. Cooling

In order to avoid translucent or foggy perfume in winter, the finished perfume will be cooled during the production process, and then the impurities in the perfume will be retained through filtration to ensure the clarity of the perfume.

6. Filtration

As aging and freezing will produce some insoluble substances to precipitate, in order to ensure the perfume is clear and transparent, a filtration system needs to be installed to remove the precipitated impurities in the perfume. The equipment for the filtration system are generally Stainless Steel Filter Housings, and the filtration consumables are generally Hydrophilic PES Membrane Pleated Filters.

7. Color Mixing & Production Inspection

After the perfume is processed by the filtration system, the perfume will be toned, and the color must be compared with the standard sample before toning. Then the product inspection, generally including the use of instruments to compare color, determination of specific gravity meter refractive index, determination of alcohol content by conventional methods, etc.

8. Bottling

When bottling perfume, the bottle should be washed with distilled water, and some gaps should be left at the neck of the bottle to prevent the solution from being heated and expanded during storage to cause the bottle to break.
